The North East Winnipeg Historical Society has released Volume 4 of North East Winnipeg Area History, diving into all of the current and former public and private schools of Elmwood, East Kildonan, and North Kildonan.
Books are $20 each (tax-free) and will be on sale at the Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson Highway.

Local historian among 150 Winnipeggers to receive honorary medal
Jim Smith, the founder of the North East Winnipeg Historical Society, is one of 150 community-minded Winnipeggers to receive a Winnipeg 150 medal marking the founding of the city in 1873. He says he started the society to address a lack of information about his corner of the city.
